Pt 1: Designing Phase
With any product at Thursday, it all starts with a conceptual phase. During this time- boots are drawn and sampled in various configurations. Multiple trials are done in order to test different closure systems, different hardwares, etc. Although the silhouette remains the same, by changing those minor details, it becomes an entirely new product.
Pt: 2 Creating the spec's
After the initial black and white sketches, colorways are created with an emphasis on high-quality leathers and build.
Pt 3: Development
1- Perfect the last. Making a good last ensures an excellent fit and an overall strong foundation for the rest of the way.
2- All Thursday products are made with the highest-quality leather and suede. From Horween leather to Stead leather, only the best is used.
3- It's not out of the norm for a single style of boot to be trial tested and re-sampled over 10-20 times. The goal is to perfect the fit, and to achieve that, there are no shortcuts.
